Digital works

Where the tile becomes a screen

Şehir / Haliç — digital ceramic work by Vase Brothers

Şehir / Haliç

Before mineral and fire, the composition lives on a screen. Here the duo build layered digital narratives — Anatolian figures, mythological clouds, a miniature city cradled on a fountain — drawn with the same freehand line that meets the glaze. The tablet and the kiln are both tools in this studio; neither is more authentic than the other.

Tap the tiles — tradition flips to now

Every surface carries two stories. One was inherited. One is theirs.

From one clay, two vessels form.

Ertuğrul Güngör (b. 1994) — the hand that knows the kiln. Trained in ceramics at Akdeniz University with an MA in the field, he carries Kütahya's classical disciplines: underglaze pigment, glaze chemistry, sculptural form.

Faruk Ertekin (b. 1994) — the line that comes from now. Trained in graphics, working across illustration, murals and digital media, he brings figures from pop culture and literature onto the tile as if they always belonged there.

Childhood friends from Kütahya, shaped from the same clay and fired together — their practice is one conversation held in glaze: tradition speaking, the present answering.
